Oh the Irony…

So…you know how I just finished writing for 45 days about courage and about taking small steps of courage? Well, I decided to take the step of editing and reformatting and rewriting some of the entries to make it more appropriate for a book.

And I spoke with some publishers. And they told me it would take six months to a year to publish my book. And they wanted a lot of creative control.

So, I decided to explore publishing through Amazon. I spoke with a couple people I know who have published using Amazon’s services and they were happy with the service and their royalty payments.

This afternoon I uploaded both the Kindle and Paperback formatted manuscripts. I created a cover.

And now I wait…for my Kindle edition to be released on February 1, 2020 (but you can pre-order now) and for my Paperback to be released on January 1, 2020.

Where is the irony, you ask? I wrote a book about finding courage and I am so scared right now! I am excited to have completed this dream of mine but now I am feeling so vulnerable and exposed and afraid the response will be similar to the dream I sometimes have where I show up to a public event wearing only my socks…it isn’t pretty. There is laughter. I haven’t told any funny jokes.

So, my friends, I need some positive thoughts sent my way. I am not looking to have written a best seller. I am just hoping the people who need this book in their lives will be able to find it, and that there will not be too many naked laughter moments.

I need some courage! This is where I ask for help. It’s not too late to change my mind.
